I have worked with many wedding videographers and having a video is a wonderful way of capturing the emotion of the day in conjunction with your photos. A good wedding videographer will blend into the background, be discrete, work with the photographer and not take over the proceedings- some however are less than obliging! If you are thinking of having a videographer do ask lots of questions and certainly, as with the photographer, have a look at any feedback.
Recently I was particularly impressed with Tony Wright of Lance Design & Media who produced the charming highlights of Heather and Adrian’s ceremony below- also showing a little bit of Symply in action (I’m the one in the purple jacket flitting about!) Even I didn’t feel he was in my way – and for me to say that about a videographer is something! The evocative music is “At Last” by Etta James.
For anyone who knows about cameras you may notice I am using the incredibly amazing new Olympus OMD E5 for my wedding photography now. It has been built to be tiny and unobstrusive and my brides love it because they are not having a huge camera with ultra long lens pointed at them all the time – most don’t even notice I am taking the photos now which equates to lovely relaxed images.
