At a recent wedding fair held in Sleaford I had the pleasure of being situated next to the stand of a new wedding venue in Lincolnshire – the delightful Skendleby Hall situated just near Spilsby.
The Hall has just been granted a licence to hold wedding ceremonies for up to 50 people and is a wonderful Grade II listed mansion. I was invited to go and have a look round so went yesterday to see for myself the potential. It is kept in 2 acres of gorgeous gardens and woodland’s, and I could see instantly how it would be perfect for wedding photos.
It is unique in that if you book it the venue is yours for 3 nights exclusively with 13 bedrooms, 12 ensuites and 5 reception rooms.
Unfortunately it was being decorated when I went round so not the best time to take photos but the venue is holding a charity open day (complete with afternoon tea!) on Saturday May 19th from 11am so I have been invited back to see it fully dressed for a wedding and to take photos for them. If you are still looking for a unique intimate venue I would advise to go and have a look- give Gillian the events manager a call!
