The Billingborough Cricket Club Family Fun Day is only in its second year , and we were very pleased to be able to support the event – especially as it is in the village we live in. The Fun Day this year hosted the world’s largest mobile bungee jump at a massive 175ft drop.
All the funds raised from the jump were donated to Whizz Kidz a worthwhile charity for children with disabilities – check out their website here :
So on a grey Bank Holiday Monday morning we set up a Symply Photography – and Diva Portrait Party – stand next to the enormous crane that was going to lift the daredevils into the sky so they could leap for their lives in aid of this wonderful charity. I decided as I had such a great vantage point that I woud take photos of the jumpers , and then because I just can’t resist taking photos I ended up wandering around the playing field taking photos of everything that had been organised. All photos were then loaded up onto a gallery and offered to everyone free of charge (in the hope they would donate money to the charity instead which can be found here : http://www.justgiving.com/
The event was very well supported with over 50 people making the leap, the dog show was incredibly popular run by Tonia from www.uk-gsr.co.uk , the cricket match very competitive , and over 70 local businesses ensured that more than 1200 visitors were kept entertained.
As for Symply and Diva – hopefully a few more people know we are in the village and will bear us in mind next time they want a local professional photographer for their event, family portraits, wedding or Diva Portrait Party 😉
Here is a small snapshot of what happened during the day
